Farewell to Anthea

After seven years, four months and one day we were sorry to say goodbye on 7th February to our curate Anthea who is moving on to be priest-in-charge of St. Peter-ad-Vincula, Roydon.

Colin's contribution to the speeches can be viewed below.

Extract from Anthea’s letter

My words can’t adequately express the happiness I felt on Sunday, both in our worship and in the celebration afterwards at the Village Hall. I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did.

Thank you all so much, not only for your wonderful, generous gifts to me, marking my departure from Theydon Bois, but also for the many, different gifts you have given me over the past seven years.

I wish you joy and love within the worshipping community at St. Mary’s, and continuing zeal in your work of mission. I hope all goes as well as possible during the remaining time of the vacancy.

St. Mary's Church, Theydon Bois
